"Body" is most comonly used to refer to something that takes up space, and it is deeply rooted in the mass of something. The body is present in this artwork in two definitions: the human body but also the geographical body, the landscape.
The will to bring those two definitions together and the research to find the ideal media to do so is what originated the work paisagem endodérmica, a series of oil paintings in lesser and greater dimensions that atempt to picture places that are simultaneously geographical and bodily, transmuting the human body and it's adipose and conjunctive tissues into ravines and precipices, bringing them closer through a meat-like color palette and sinuous abiguous shapes.
The series presents itself in such a way that the lesser dimentions paintings build simultaniously as a study and a sintax of sorts of it's own pictoric and conceptual vocabulary. The greater dimensions paintings are, in the same frame of mind, the articulation of that sintax into a full sentence that articulates the pictoric elemntes, atempting to comunicate this visceral geographical allegory. In a way, the lesser format paintings are a tool that enables the comprehension of each and every composing elements within the greater format painting.
