Giovana Macedo (Taubaté, 1997) is an artist-curator, independent researcher and producer.

Graduated in Fine Arts from FEBASP, her practice is guided by the intimate relation between artistic production and curatorial research, centered in the exchange between artist and curator and is constantly seeking to bring both roles together within the young artist's community.

In 2021 she co-founded the research and artistic orientation group Incubadora along with Guilherme Borsatto, same year in wich her work was featured at the group show Se todas as rosas desaparecessem, curated by Carla Chaim and Nino Cais.

In 2023, she was invited by artist Fernanda Corsini to be a part of the curatorship of her first solo show Ser é Estar, that took place at Centro Cultural UFSJ and was contemplated at Memorial TJDF for the 21ª Semana Nacional de Museus. At the same year, artist Letícia Feltrin also invited her to write the curatorial essay that follows the solo show As Palavras Estão Todas do Lado de Dentro, happening at MUnA (Museu Universitário de Arte de Uberlândia).
